Do you make bespoke furniture?
Yes! In fact, most of the furniture we make is bespoke and made to fit exactly in our customer's homes. We love receiving new ideas that have been dreamt up so if you have a design in mind, please contact us for a personalised quote.
Where do the names of your furniture come from?
As all of our furniture is handmade here in Norfolk, most pieces are named after areas or landscapes in Norfolk! I ran out of places in Norfolk... so we named some pieces after people, pets, places or memories that are special to me - Richard, the owner of Oak Tree Woodwork and the one handmaking this furniture!
Can I order colour samples?
Of course. Colours can look different in photos so if you would prefer to see our finishes up close, then you can order a samples pack from our 'Shop' section for £10. These are sent out within 2-3 working days from date of order.
What are your build times?
We are currently working on a 3-4 week build time with delivery in 1-2 working days after that. If you have any special requirements or need a piece quicker, please contact us and we will try our best to accommodate.
What if I can't find the right size on your website?
Everything we make is built to order, so if you require a custom size, please send us a quick email and we will send over a personalised quote the very same day.
Do you deliver to my house?
We ship nationwide, all over the U.K.
Are your table legs easy to attach?
Yes, we pre drill holes into the underside of our benches, tables and desk tops and clearly mark where screws should be inserted. Screws are supplied with the legs (plus a couple of extras!). Please note, all table, bench and desk legs are sent in a separate box for logistical reasons.
How can I care for my new furniture?
Our furniture and home décor items are finished in 1 coat of environmentally friendly oil which soaks into the wood to keep it's rustic appeal while keeping the wood water and spill resistant. We would still recommend to use coasters if placing hot mugs or glasses just in case! Your furniture can be cared with regular furniture polish if needed. All food serving and preparation items are final coated in a clear, food safe oil.
What wood do you use?
We mostly use reclaimed, sustainably sourced pieces of wood which will all have minor scratches, dents, minor cracks and characteristics from its previous life.
Why do you plant trees?
For every sale we make, we plant 1 tree in countries of need using onetreeplanted.org to help with the reforestation effort and giving back to the environment. This means no new trees are ever cut down to build the furniture we make. Visit onetreeplanted.org for more information on how it all works.
